X-Ray, CT, MRI & Ultrasound Coordination in Cabo

When your doctor needs imaging, Costa Serena helps coordinate the appropriate independent facility, appointment and follow-up — with explanations in English.

Coordinate X-ray, CT, MRI or ultrasound in Los Cabos with English-speaking assistance. Independent imaging providers, clear quotes and help with follow-up.

Four imaging modalities, one point of contact

Digital X-ray

Often used to assess bones, certain chest concerns or possible foreign bodies when a physician determines it is appropriate.

CT scan

Cross-sectional imaging for selected head, chest or abdominal concerns, based on medical assessment.

MRI

Detailed soft-tissue imaging for selected joint, spine, neurological or other concerns.

Ultrasound

Imaging used for selected abdominal, vascular, obstetric and soft-tissue questions.

How coordination works

The imaging equipment is at the independent facility, not at Costa Serena Clinic. Our role is to help organize the referral and next steps.

1 · Medical assessment

A physician reviews the concern and decides whether imaging is needed and which study is appropriate.

2 · Confirm the appointment

We help check the facility’s availability, preparation instructions and quote for a non-emergency study.

3 · Arrange access or transport

If needed, discuss an appropriate independent transport provider and any separate charges.

4 · Review the results

The facility’s radiologist interprets the study. Your treating doctor explains the findings and recommended follow-up.

Common reasons travelers need imaging

  • A possible fracture after a fall or sports injury.
  • A head injury that needs urgent medical assessment.
  • Persistent or severe abdominal pain.
  • Chest or breathing concerns requiring appropriate assessment.
  • Joint, back or neck symptoms after an injury.
  • A possible blood clot or pregnancy-related concern.

These symptoms do not all call for the same test. Severe chest pain, stroke signs, major trauma or severe breathing difficulty are reasons to call 911 immediately.

Pricing, insurance and records

Imaging and radiology fees are set and billed by the independent facility. Costa Serena’s consultation or coordination services are separate and quoted in advance. For non-emergency care, ask for the study price, any contrast or radiologist fees and preparation instructions before confirming.

The team can help request English-language documentation and discuss how to obtain your images and report for your home physician. Insurance approval and reimbursement depend on your policy and the facility’s arrangements.

Questions about your care

Frequently asked questions

Is imaging performed at Costa Serena Clinic?

No. X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound are performed by independent imaging facilities or hospitals and their radiologists. Costa Serena coordinates the referral and follow-up.

Can you arrange same-day imaging?

The team can check availability after a physician confirms the appropriate study. Same-day scheduling depends on the facility, preparation requirements and urgency; it is not guaranteed.

How much does imaging cost?

The independent facility sets the price. Ask for a quote for your exact study, including contrast and reporting when applicable. Consultation or coordination charges are separate.

Can I take the images home?

Ask the facility about its electronic, disc or other export options. With your consent, the team can help coordinate records for your physician at home.

What if a serious problem is found?

Your treating clinician explains the findings and recommends the appropriate hospital, specialist or urgent care. Independent hospital care is arranged as needed.
